I'm working on three projects to support our Portal to Adventure rule set, two of which are essentially done. As soon as Art Devil makes me a cover, we'll post the Character Sheet and Tables on our website.
Alternate Character Sheet
The character record sheet included with Portal is very generic, with room for only a very few kinds of information. The alternate sheet isn't as neat from a design or graphic point of view but might be more helpful. It is much more visually busy, has smaller fonts, but has places for a lot more information. It will help with character generation since it has most of the race/social/class modifiers on it. It also does a better job with class and other kinds of abilities, is more specific with weapon proficiencies, and (on page 2) has lists of all the spells and prayer. This should make it easier to mark the spells/prayers the character knows. This will be posted as a free download this week.
Collection of Portal Tables
We tried to keep Portal as thin as we could, and still make it as useful as possible for the length. That means that a lot of mechanics are expressed (in the rules) as an expression, such a 1d20 roll GTET [32-Will-Level]. We think these mechanics generally work pretty well and should be easy to use. This collection of Tables goes the next step the provides look-up tables for virtually every mechanic in the game, from figuring out the Special Power modifier number (0 to +10), to detecting enchantments, to picking pockets. These tables should be useful to anyone who uses our Portal ruleset, or to Games Masters who are using our adventures with other game systems. This will be posted as a free download this week.
